Pro-choice activists rallied outside Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home to complain that the Democratic leader has done nothing to stop the possible overthrow of Roe v. to stop Wade.
Half a dozen pro-choice protesters stood outside Pelosi’s San Francisco home on Tuesday, carrying signs of drawings by conservative Supreme Court justices who have been called “liars” and a banner that read, “Abortion on demand and without excuse.” “.
The protest comes a week after a leaked draft opinion by Judge Samuel Alito suggested a majority of Conservatives in the court are ready to end constitutional abortion rights.
Several protests took place last week outside the homes of several Republican Supreme Court justices, with activists demanding that they vote to retain abortion rights.
But now pro-choice protesters appear to have turned against the Democrats, the pro-choice party, claiming their inaction allowed Republicans to push through forced abortion laws and could lead to Roe v Wade’s repeal.

Despite the Democrats being the pro-choice party, protesters have claimed they are just as liable as the Conservatives for Roe’s ouster
“We’re here because the Democratic Party and Democrats as a whole were involved in this whole thing,” said one protester.
They then personally targeted Speaker Pelosi, particularly for her perceived inaction on the issue and for previously saying “that the Democratic Party is too focused on the abortion issue.”
“Speaker Pelosi, this will be your legacy, 35 years of your reign of terror,” said one protester. “You had a supermajority under Obama, under which this should have been your top priority. Why did you leave that on the table? Because this is your most effective fundraising tool. That’s why.’
The protesters even blamed Hillary Clinton for her pro-abortion messages during her tenure as First Lady.
“Hillary Clinton, who started the whole thing by saying abortion should be legal but rare, like abortion was a tragedy,” said one protester. “We are here to say that abortion is a basic right, a basic human right, and without that right, women are basically enslaved. And we will not accept that.’

The protest came just days after Pelosi praised the people who were marching over the leaked draft.
“Though we have seen and heard extraordinary anguish in our communities, we have been moved how so many have channeled their righteous anger into meaningful action: They plan to march and mobilize to make their voices heard,” Pelosi wrote in a letter , which she shared on her website.
Judge Alito’s draft opinion, written in February and published by Politico last week, reveals that the court voted to overturn the landmark 1973 ruling that legalized abortion in the United States.
The official opinion will only be released towards the end of the court’s term – late June or early July – and could be amended by then.
Five of the six Conservative justices are said to support the opinion, with only Chief Justice John Roberts disagreeing with the three Liberals on the bench. However, Roberts supports an abortion ban at 15 weeks gestation.
President Joe Biden, in a statement released hours after the leak, said women have a “fundamental” right to an abortion and urged American voters “to elect pro-choice officials this November.”
He also vowed the White House would be “ready when a verdict comes in.”
Meanwhile, protests against abortion rights have erupted across the country.
Protesters arrived outside the homes of Chief Justice John Roberts and his Conservative colleague Brett Kavanaugh on Saturday – just days after a massive, unscalable fence was erected around the Supreme Court building for the safety of staff.

Protesters also appeared outside churches over the weekend and violence erupted at the office of pro-life groups.
Antifa vandals hurled at least one Molotov cocktail into the Madison offices of Wisconsin Family Action, a state anti-abortion group. The group also scrawled a chilling message on the wall that read: “If abortions aren’t safe, then neither are you,” as well as the Antifa symbol — a capital “A” in a circle — and the number 1312, which is a code that stands for ACAB, meaning “All cops are bastards.”
The White House finally condemned the protests on Monday after being fired upon by Republicans for remaining silent on the issue.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said President Biden condemned the protests.
‘[President Joe Biden] firmly believes in the constitutional right to protest,” she tweeted.
“But that should never involve violence, threats or vandalism,” Psaki continued in her tweet. “Judges perform an incredibly important function in our society and they must be able to go about their work without concern for their personal safety.”
