Eric Clapton announces shows in Brazil and causes controversy with proPalestinian video:

Eric Clapton, the greatest living guitar legend, returns to Brazil in September 2024 for three shows in Curitiba, Rio and São Paulo. At 78, he is part of the first generation to bring English rock to the world. He is the only person to be nominated three times for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, for his participation in the bands Yardbirds and Cream, as well as for his solo career.

Winner of 18 Grammys and owner of assets worth more than R$600 million, Clapton is also known for his strong opinions and for not being afraid to reveal his positions. During the pandemic, he was heavily criticized for defending the end of quarantine when the British government imposed social isolation.

Things got even worse when he took a stand against the Covid vaccine, criticized compulsory vaccination for events such as concerts and published content about side effects without any scientific basis.

Now he’s facing criticism for his new video “Voice of a Child,” which features powerful images of injured children in Gaza and proPalestinian protests.
