Rio The comedian Jaime Gil da Costa, known as Gil Brother Away, was buried this Tuesday afternoon (5) at the Capela de Santo Aleixo in Magé, metropolitan area of Rio. The ceremony took place around 4:30 p.m. Attended by close friends, family and fans.
Gil Brother died last Sunday (3) in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 66. The comedian battled prostate and bladder cancer and suffered the aftereffects of a stroke six months ago.
The comedian gained national fame through his participation in the group Hermes and Renato on MTV Brasil in the late 1990s. He played several characters and was known for catchphrases such as “I’m perplecto” (SIC).
