You can also think about bringing a small booster kit, especially for quads.
“It can certainly be very useful for restarting a vehicle with a power outage, especially in winter, as starting using the vehicle’s battery alone can be impossible. I also advise quad enthusiasts to have bits with them to repair a puncture. »
Personally, I would add to the expert’s advice to always inform someone about the planned trip and provide an approximate time of arrival. If you have to do research, it will be easier.
You must also have a means of communication within your reach. There are cell phones that have reception when you are near towns and villages. However, if you decide to travel to a remote area, a satellite phone would be very useful. Today it is possible to rent such a device for a week or two. If you divide the rental price among the hiking members, it’s not very expensive. If necessary, it can make a difference. I have experienced it personally.
