The city of Edmundston is located at the entrance to New Brunswick, in a valley full of nature and breathtaking landscapes.

The region is easily accessible via Quebec’s hiking trails. Please note that to ride on trails in New Brunswick you must have a provincial access permit. It is possible to obtain it for the season or for shorter periods such as a few days or weeks.

The snowy landscapes along the waterways and the alpine forests will enchant you. Side paths, all connected to the main paths, take you to very picturesque places. In the Green River area, in the Moose Valley sector, off-trail snowmobiling is possible.

Edmundston is truly a hub for snowmobilers who want to discover very active trails and clubs.

There are many relay stations about an hour from the city. Whichever direction you take, you will find club relays and services you may need.

In several places, New Brunswick, the United States and even Quebec can be seen at high altitudes on a clear day. Everything can be done at small magnifications of 200 or 250 kilometers.

To reach Edmundston and its surrounding areas from Quebec, you have several options. There is Trail 85 which connects directly to Trail 12 in New Brunswick. You can also enter via Sully, via the 561, which becomes 41 in this municipality.

There is also Trail 155 from Amqui that takes you and Trans Quebec Trail 5 that takes you to Edmundston via Campbellton.
