The group consists of 85 people, including Brazilians and Palestinian relatives those who have already been repatriated from the first group. This morning they were already focused on controlling the border town of Rafah, the city between the southern Gaza Strip and northeastern Egypt currently the only way out of Palestinian territory.
“We managed to concentrate 85 Brazilians and close family members in Rafah, removing them from the most intensive operational areas in Khan Younes, Deir al Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp, and placing them very close to the border crossing,” said the ambassador from Brazil in Palestine, Alessandro Candeas.
Another 17 people on the list of names sent by Itamaraty to Israel and Egypt are not in Rafah and They are waiting in their own homes in the south of the Palestinian territory for permission to leave Gazathat’s the message.
The final step for the group to cross the border is now approval from Israel and Egypt, which control entry and exit from Rafah, Candeas said. Both countries analyze every name submitted by embassies around the world.
