After the horrific incident, the suspect returns to his car, which he had parked in a resident’s driveway before leaving the scene.

The victim finally finds his footing and checks on his granddaughter, who is lying in the stroller that ended up on its side after the attack.

The owner of the home where the attacker parked, Greg Higa, uploaded the footage online and expressed his disgust and shock while speaking to KTLA 5 about the incident.

“It feels really random…this is a safe neighborhood and we are all absolutely horrified that something could happen here to someone doing something as innocent as walking their child,” Higa told the outlet.

Mary Steele said the victim, who she did not identify, was a “very nice community member” and was perplexed as to why he was attacked.

“He has a beautiful home, people know who he is and the baby is an innocent victim,” she added.

The attacker has not yet been identified and was seen wearing a dark T-shirt, jeans and a backwards baseball cap.

Los Angeles Police Department investigators took a report, but no further information about the incident was released, KTLA 5 reported.

The station reported that neighbors confirmed that the victim and his granddaughter were doing well.
