Various personalities were recognized for their contributions to press freedom, journalistic innovation, research and the defense of democracy.

The Inter-American Press Prize “Dr. “Horacio Aguirre.” Among the winners is Grupo Imagen journalist Elizabeth Trenado, in the “Investigative Journalism” citation for her work “Death at Home,” in which she speaks to the relatives of victims of femicide and women who experienced the nightmare have given a voice to violence.

The Mexican journalist said she never imagined being around so many people she has admired throughout her career.
