Texas goes to Supreme Court against abortion due to high risk pregnancy Latest News Ansa.it

In Texas, the brutal legal battle continues against a woman 20 weeks pregnant who was given by a judge the right to an abortion because of a high-risk pregnancy, even though a state ban was in effect after six weeks.

Lone Star Attorney General Ken Paxton appealed the decision to the state Supreme Court and threatened to prosecute any doctor or hospital that causes the woman to have an abortion. The latter learned that her fetus suffers from a chromosomal disorder that leads to various health problems, including a spinal anomaly, and that continuing the pregnancy endangers her life and future fertility. The 31-year-old mother of two has been rushed to the emergency room four times with severe cramps and dehydration, but doctors told her her hands were tied because of state law.
