Alyson Hannigan celebrates her transformation from start to finish on Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars.
Hannigan, who placed fifth this season, posted two side-by-side photos to her Instagram on Dec. 9. The first photo was Hannigan's promotional photo from the show, while the second image was taken at the December 5th finale.
In both snaps, the How I Met Your Mother star wore a silver fringe dress, showing off her body transformation after months of strenuous training.
“The before and after says it all,” Hannigan wrote in the caption. “I lost 20 pounds of weight and emotional baggage during my time on @dancingwiththestars.”
She then thanked her dance partner Sasha Farber, adding, “I can't thank @sashafarbener1 enough for helping me overcome my insecurities and getting me to the confident and strong place I am today!”
The 49-year-old actress reflected on her entire “DWTS” journey on social media in the days following the finale, celebrating the memories and friends she's made, as well as her personal accomplishments.
“I learned that I am capable of doing things that I have told myself my entire life that I was incapable of (I literally fly in this freestyle!!!), and that I “Really just get going.” have a positive attitude and try to work hard,” she added in the caption of her Dec. 6 Instagram post. “The fact that I was able to perform in the final is a win for me.”
In another post shared on December 8, Hannigan posted a video montage on Instagram that included several behind-the-scenes moments from her time on the show.
The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star shared more about her time on the series and expressed her gratitude for the experience and the crew.
She also dedicated another special note to Farber, writing in part: “Going into this journey with mostly fear and coming out of it feeling how I feel now is indescribable.”
“I can't thank @sashafarbener1 enough for everything he has given me, shared with me and experienced with me,” she added. “I couldn't have asked for a better partner. Thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you for giving me confidence and making me feel like I could do this, and then getting me there and having so much fun doing it.”
During the competition leading up to the finale, Hannigan and Farber danced a Viennese Waltz to Ed Sheeran's “Perfect,” a Paso Doble to Muse's “Supermassive Black Hole,” and the Jive to Taylor Swift's “Shake It Off” and “Footloose.” Kenny Loggins.
