Laura Jimenez documented evidence against her mail carrier after she became frustrated that her packages were mishandled.
The problems have been going on for months, possibly even a year. At first we dismissed it as a joke, like an angry mailman, but then it just became kind of disgusting,” Jimenez said.
Residents in Far East El Paso near Pebble Hills High School are tired of having to deal with what they consider a poor carrier.
Jimenez went to the post office and reported the carrier to the manager.
“[The manager said] We don’t deserve such service, we deserve to have the mail delivered appropriately,” Jimenez said.
After expressing her frustration and realizing the problem persisted, Jimenez contacted the manager again and he told her it was best to email him instead of filing a complaint online.
[The manager] asked me to email the documents I had and the experience I had directly to him yesterday afternoon, but I received no response that it had been received,” Jimenez said.
Residents just hope the hauler is held accountable.
“I really just hope the USPS takes action on this. It is not a personal vendetta, but we deserve service that is not negligent,” Jimenez said.
KFOX took residents' concerns to the USPS and they sent a statement in response:
“Thank you for sharing the video footage of this incident, which the local postal administration is reviewing as part of our investigation into the matter. We apologize to our customers for the actions shown in the video, which are clearly unacceptable behavior and inconsistent with the efforts of the thousands of professional, dedicated shippers on our workforce. Although the USPS does not comment on specific personnel matters, residents can be assured that we are taking all appropriate measures to resolve the issue.”
