Actress Tammin Sursok cowers in a closet with her frightened children as a tornado sweeps through Nashville

Tammin Sursok was caught in a terrible tornado in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Australian actress huddled closely with her two young children and husband Sean McEwen on Saturday as the state was hit by criminals.

The 40-year-old shared the whole ordeal on Instagram Stories, first posting a picture showing her and her children setting up the room with pillows and blankets to hide in for the night.

“Tornado sirens going off, in a closet,” she wrote alongside the scary photo.

Tammin later shared a video update in which, after the family settled in the closet, she said she had “one kid who couldn't care less and one kid who couldn't care less.”

“We have food, water, the dog and yes,” she added, trailing off.

She then filmed her husband standing outside in the hallway and admonishing him: 'You have to get in here!' What are you doing?'

“I'm a father, you have to stay agile.” “I'm ready,” he said, then revealed that he had a flashlight, a phone charger, money, car keys and two knives with him in case he needed them.

“You may need to survive, you may need things.” That's what men do. We put things in our pockets. “You have to be prepared for anything,” he argued as Tammin pushed him into the closet.
