Singer Ricky Martin is clear of an allegation of sexual assault, Puerto Rico's Department of Justice announced last Friday (7). This is because the agency understood that there was no sufficient criteria to charge Ricky Martin.

The prosecutor's office and the police of San Juan, the island's capital, conducted an investigation into the case after his nephew Dennis Yadiel Sánchez Martin filed a complaint against the Puerto Rican singer.
“The wording of the accusation against Enrique Martin Morales, publicly known as Ricky Martin, is not appropriate due to a complaint of sexual assault filed against him in September 2022,” reads the statement from the institution’s press office.
The document shows that the evidence obtained by the police and prosecutors during the investigation neither matches nor supports the allegations.
Information published by CNN indicates that José Andreu Fuentes, Martin's lawyer, reported that the decision takes into account the “lack of credibility of these allegations and the fact that they are not based on any facts.”
