Five years after its release in the US, “The Rookie” has finally landed on Netflix in France. Since Friday, December 1st, subscribers can watch the first three seasons of the crime series on the streaming platform. Written by Alexi Hawley, who gave us The Recruit, the fiction tells the story of John Nolan, a man in his forties whose life is turned upside down after separating from his wife. John then decides to leave his small Pennsylvania town to settle in Los Angeles and join the LAPD, where he becomes the oldest “young recruit.” The cast includes Eric Winter (Witches of East End), Melissa O'Neil (Emily's Shadow), Richard T. Jones (The Wood), Alyssa Diaz (Ray Donovan) and Nathan Fillion.

While the French are discovering the first three seasons of The Rookie on Netflix, the American series has been renewed for a sixth chapter by ABC. Good news for fans who will soon discover the hundredth episode of the crime series. Filming for the sixth edition, which was supposed to begin last summer, was ultimately postponed until this fall due to the writers and actors strike. New episodes of The Rookie air February 20 on ABC.
