The Israeli army says it bombed 25 “targets” last day
Over the past day, the Israeli army's land, air and naval forces bombed more than 250 targets in the Gaza Strip, its headquarters said on social media on Sunday.
“In the final hours, troops [israéliennes] “Located and destroyed weapons stocks, carried out targeted raids on military sites, destroyed tunnel entrances (…) and thwarted the plans of armed terrorist cells,” he wrote. A “Hamas military communications site next to a mosque in southern Gaza” was also bombed by aircraft, continues the army, which also says it has “eliminated” a “terrorist cell” in the Khan Younès sector that is still there located in the south, where they believe tunnels were destroyed.
A “targeted raid” was carried out against a Hamas command center in Khadjaya, a neighborhood in Gaza City, during which numerous weapons were fired, including AK-47 machine guns, grenades and anti-tank rocket launchers, it added.
Israel Army Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi vowed on Saturday to “increase military pressure” in the enclave.
