Pastor commits suicide after being accused of sexually assaulting minors

A pastor from New Hampshire in the United States committed suicide on November 27 after being fired from the Baptist church that had hired him following allegations of sexual misconduct with minors.

Jarrett Booker was employed at Nashua Baptist Church for nearly a decade, where he worked exclusively with children and youth, we learn in the New York Post.

Nashua police were investigating the 37-year-old man on suspicion of committing sex crimes against children at the time of the suicide, authorities told local media.

According to the New York Post, the man had not yet been formally charged at the time he took his own life.

The Hollis police were also involved in the pastor's case.

The number of victims and details of the attacks remain unknown.

The investigation continues despite the suspect's death.

Booker's wife says she has experienced “a violent mix of emotions” since the events.

“JB had his demons, I won’t pretend he didn’t. His decisions caused harm. The hard truth I'm learning is that there are questions that will remain unanswered in my life,” she wrote on Facebook.

His mother declined all requests for media interviews.
