Britney Spears reflects on marriage to Sam Asghari…There was 'good and bad'

Britney Spears remembers her failed marriage with Sam Asgharisaid there have been many ups and downs as she confessed that she feels strange being single.
In a lengthy message posted to Instagram on Sunday, Brit dove straight into her seven-year relationship with Sam, which ended with him filing for divorce in August 2023 after 14 months of marriage.
She wrote: “It's so strange being single. I've had a lot of time to really look back at all the good and bad. I realized that I don't talk to myself very nicely at all. “I’m easily manipulated” and I wear my heart on my sleeve.
Brit vowed to create change in her life by pausing to “re-evaluate” situations that arise and asking herself, “Is this good for me?”
She also revealed that she enjoys having a routine, but hers is “silly at times,” and yet she admits that she gets bored and afraid of a lot of things.
She then goes on to address the people who have interfered in her life, over whom she has regained control because she knows it's okay to be selfish and enjoy it.
Brit then digressed a bit and ended with a story about her mother, Lynnewhen she visited the sisters at the Catholic school the pop star attended when she was younger.
Lynne may have been on Brit's mind given her thoughts recent reconciliation after years of alienation. Last Thursday, TMZ first reported on Lynne made her second trip in two weeks to see Brit in LA – and it seems everything went according to plan.
Lynne even told us that mother and daughter might be able to spend Christmas together at home in Louisiana. As for Sam, Lynne says she doesn't miss him.
I'm sorry, Sam.
