An unlikely clash between Messi and Ronaldo's clubs in February

Inter Miami CF and Al Nassr will bring the imagination of many football fans to life by having their stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo line up for a game next February.

The Florida club will make a short trip to Saudi Arabia for the Riyadh Season Cup, an international round-robin tournament. After a January 29 clash against Al-Hilal, another Saudi professional championship team, Miami will face Al Nassr on February 1.

This team is obviously known for having one of the biggest sports stars of the last two decades: Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese and his Argentine rival have faced each other 35 times in their careers so far. With 16 wins, 10 losses and nine draws, Messi had the upper hand most of the time.

Their last meeting took place on January 19, 2023, when an all-star team from the Saudi Arabian League took on Messi's Paris Saint-Germain. Both men had scored once.

In addition to “CR7”, Al Nassr also counts former Liverpool player Sadio Mané and Spanish national defender Aymeric Laporte in its ranks. At Al-Hilal, Neymar, Messi's former teammate at FC Barcelona and PSG, is the biggest star, but will be missing due to injury.
