The transport minister arrived at Quebec City Hall around 2:30 p.m. for a tête-à-tête called at her request.
She quickly rushed into an elevator because she didn't want to answer questions from the media.
Private
“I just come to talk to the mayor of Quebec, as I often do with all the mayors of all the cities in Quebec,” she explained simply before heading to Mr. Marchand’s office.
It was not possible to know the topics covered in this discussion. This was a “private meeting between the two elected officials,” Ms. Guilbault’s office said.
tram
The tram has been the subject of frequent discussions between City Hall and the minister's office since the Legault government forced the mega-project to pause in order to entrust the study to the Caisse de dépôt en Placement du Québec (CDPQ) Infra.
The break was originally supposed to last six months. But CDPQ Infra recently stated that the deadline had not yet expired, more than a month later, because it was waiting for certain studies.
