The Quebec government could strip actor Gérard Depardieu of the title of Knight of the National Order of Quebec for making degrading and obscene comments towards women.

At the request of the Ministry of Executive Council (MCE), which reports directly to Prime Minister Legault, the Council of the National Order of Quebec will address the case of Gérard Depardieu in the coming days.
According to our sources, the Prime Minister would be of the opinion that Depardieu's knighthood, awarded in 2002, should be revoked.
