But now Celeste Barber has been rehabilitated.
The 41-year-old comedian's sitcom Wellmania has become the streaming giant's most-watched Australian show to date in 2023, The Courier Mail reports.
According to data released by Netflix on Wednesday, the eight-episode half-hour series logged a whopping 41.4 million viewing hours on the streaming site between March and June.
Barber's comedy landed at No. 400 on Netflix's list of “most-watched” series out of the 18,214 series available on the site.

The most popular Australian film was True Spirit, which ranked 242nd overall out of 18,000 films available on the site.
The adventure film starring Titans actress Teagan Croft is based on the memoirs of Jessica Watson, the youngest person to circumnavigate the world at 16 years old.
The film has garnered 56.70 million hours of viewing since its release on January 26.
The Night Agent is now the biggest series on Netflix overall.
The crime thriller saw 812.1 million hours viewed on the site in the first six months of 2023.

This is the first time that the notoriously secretive Netflix has released detailed ratings for its series, The Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday.
The data, which only covers January to June 2023, covers global viewing, with each title on the site's extensive content list being watched for at least 50,000 hours.
This comes after Barber launched a scathing tirade against the streaming giant following the announcement that her show was being canceled in October.
After hearing the news, she posted a video on Instagram in which she addressed the shocking cancellation and didn't mince her words when it came to assigning blame.

“Hello friends, Wellmania will not be renewed for another season.” Netflix said it was about numbers. “Sure,” she began.
“I thought it was broken, but I don't understand how it works.” Thank you for the love and support surrounding the show. The way it was recorded was so stunning.
“A lot of you said to me that you recognized yourself in my character and wanted to see more of her, but this industry is kind of bullshit.” “So go watch Friends, but maybe not on Netflix,” she snapped.
She also posted an image of the Wellmania poster next to a Netflix streaming chart, showing that it was once among the top 10 most-watched shows on the platform.
