Two years after the unfortunate death of Don Vicente Fernández, his son Alejandro confessed that he felt closer to “Charro de Huentitán” than ever before, which is why he believes that the relationship between the two has strengthened.

In an interview with a national newspaper, the singer explained that despite his earthly absence, he now feels closer to the interpreter of “Mujeres divinas”.

“He is always there for me. Apart from the fact that he has left this physical plane, I feel it more on the spiritual plane. “Unfortunately, I think I talk to him more now that he's gone than when I had him alive,” he said emotionally.

“Every time I go on stage, I pray, I talk to him, I dedicate my concert to him, I ask him to accompany me. It is always present. It is a loss that will never stop hurting, but we want to always keep it in our hearts,” Alejandro added.

The member of the Fernández dynasty known as “El Potrillo” claimed that his father had a lot to do with his next concert tour entitled “Amor y Patria”, as he would perform almost the same show through the Aztec country that he had offered last May in Plaza México, created as a replica of the one his father made in the same location in 1984.

“In Mexico I've been on most of the major stages there could be, but I haven't performed in Plaza México. There was an iconic presentation of my father, I think it was one of the ones that shaped him and they began to make him the idol that he ended up being,” he said.

“(Hers) was an incredible night full of emotions. One of my daughters, the youngest, was super pretty, dressed up, and after the first song I put out, I turned to her and she looked like a clown, all the paint was already smeared, everyone was crying. “Somehow we all felt my father’s presence there,” he said.

Although Alejandro's lecture was recorded and he intends to put it on the market, the singer did not rule out the idea of getting new excerpts from the upcoming concerts on his tour and putting them all together in one production.
