Whindersson Nunes confessed the reasons that led to the end of his relationship with Luísa Sonza, with whom he remained together from 2016 to 2020. After his marriage in 2018, problems such as depression, internet presence and drugs significantly affected the relationship. Luísa stated that she tried to help her partner give up his addiction, but the difficulties of both partners led the comedian to put an end to the romance.
Nunes revealed details of the breakup in the documentary Se Eu Fosse Luísa Sonza, which premiered this Wednesday (13) on Netflix. The divorce is still a hot topic among her fans, who debate whether Luisa committed treason or not although both have already denied this version. The singer blamed the internet for the end of the marriage.
“What is the purpose of the social network? To show beautiful things from your life. We were obviously a couple in love. They said I was a gold digger and Whindersson was a cuckold,” she said.
“If people hadn’t made life so difficult for us, we would still be together today. But I understand that it was important for us to take different paths. We were at very different moments in our careers and our thinking,” Luísa added.
The signs of crisis began after Luísa's intimate photo was leaked. She began to distrust people who were close to her. Nunes, on the other hand, took a trip to Mozambique and came back thinking about social inequality and how he didn't deserve what he got. The comedian started taking more drugs.
“I took drugs because I wanted to. It was this illusion of having fun that I couldn't remember. I just wanted the days to pass. I was a little lost,” he admitted. From then on, arguments between the couple worsened and Nunes developed depression. “I forgot, I forgot to take care of my problems,” complained the artist.
“But maybe he doesn’t even know that because I was 19 years old. And I think if you try to save someone else, you're just making it worse because you're not saving yourself. I was completely exhausted too.” The head, it wasn’t cool. But I wasn't the priority. People came to talk to me about Whindersson, about his health. “It was my fault for Whinderson's depression, for the hate he got, for everything,” she got emotional.
Whindersson Nunes revealed that the decision to divorce came from himself. “I saw that it was like that… We didn't talk anymore, we didn't have that desire anymore. We slept together, we had everything a couple can except the love of the couple,” he explained.
