According to our sources, Tamouro quickly left the country when Silva decided to turn around and become an informant in June 2022.

This murder of a key member of Quebec's organized crime scene joins the numerous other attacks carried out against big names in the underworld in recent months.

On November 27, Michel “Doune” Guérin, a close friend of the Hells Angels who was very active in the Quebec region, was murdered while shoveling snow in his driveway. He was shot several times.

Ten days earlier, kingpin Gregory Woolley was shot dead in front of his wife and four-day-old baby in a commercial parking lot in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Mafioso Francesco Del Balso was shot dead in early June as he left the Monster Gym on the west of the island of Montreal. He had a bounty on his head because he was suspected of ordering the attempted murder of Montreal Mafia co-leader Leonardo Rizzuto, which occurred March 15 on Highway 440 in Laval.

Rizzuto was injured but survived his injuries.
