Block fans point out heartbreaking details as Leah and Ash's house still remains unsold months after auction: 'They're probably dead now'

It was the sought-after property that failed to sell at the block's dramatic auction in November.

Now fans have taken to Reddit to point out a sick detail about Leah and Ash's House 2 in Melbourne's Hampton East, which was passed on for $2.9 million during the season finale.

Viewers have speculated that the goldfish the couple filled their front yard pond with couldn't possibly have survived since the house was on the market.

Fans flocked to comment on the “The fish in Leah and Ash's house are probably dead now” thread since it was posted four days ago.

An eagle-eyed fan pointed out that no fish were spotted in the pond during the inspection.

This came after Leah and Ash demonstrated the fish during Front Yard and Facade Week, which the couple won, securing a Ford Mustang Mach-E worth $80,000.

“There were no fish upon inspection so…yeah,” one fan said.

“I'm pretty sure the neighborhood kitties would have made short work of them,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Mate, those fish died within five minutes of throwing them in.”

Meanwhile, another Block visitor pointed out that the goldfish was unlikely to survive due to the design of the pond.

“There's also the fact that it was a shallow 'pond' that experienced massive temperature swings and had no plant cover to hide from predators,” the fan wrote.

“At best, they were just there for display for evaluation and were removed immediately afterwards. At worst, they were left there and are now certainly dead.”

After headlines broke this week that Leah and Ash remain desperate to sell their stunning five-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment, which failed to sell in November's finale on The Block.

After a buyer willing to pay $3.1 million for the Hampton East home backed out last month, there was no taker in sight for the couple.

And now Yahoo Lifestyle reports that interest in the lavish retro home has “hit an all-time low.”

A source told the publication that the longer the home sits on the market, “the further the end is in sight.”

“At this point, a Christmas miracle is needed if the house is to sell in 2023,” the insider claimed.

The insider even speculated that it's possible that the homes for the upcoming season of The Block could go under the hammer before Leah and Ash find a buyer.

According to the report, House 2 is still on the market and has no bids.

Leah and Ash's House 2 caused a lot of excitement among potential bidders ahead of The Block's auction in November.

The Block buyer's agents predicted big things for the couple after the luxury home was listed with a guide price of $2.7 million to $2.9 million.
