Anyone driving to the resort is asked to either park in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, where there is free public parking, or use valet parking. Rideshare users should request to drop off at nearby locations.

With the opening of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the project has come full circle. Fontainebleau Development began construction on the building back in 2007 before the project went bankrupt in the wake of the Great Recession.

Construction was about 75% complete before it was halted, and the building sat idle for years while efforts were made to find a new owner to finish it, a reminder of the recession's devastating impact on Las Vegas became.

In August 2017, Witkoff Group purchased the property and announced plans to complete construction and rename it The Drew, with Marriott International managing hotel operations.

Nevada gaming regulators found Steve Witkoff fit to own the company back in January 2020, but just two months later the COVID-19 pandemic hit the US, pausing construction and disrupting financing again.

The resort will feature more than 3,600 hotel rooms, 550,000 square feet of convention space and a 173,000 square foot casino floor.

The hotel tower is 737 feet tall, making it the tallest inhabited building in Nevada.

The resort will also feature LIV nightclub and beach dayclub. The nightclub opens Thursday with John Summit as its first headliner, while LIV Beach is expected to be ready for pool season next year.
