Would Tom Brady have had such a fantastic career in major baseball and allowed the Expos to stay in Montreal?
The answer to these questions is “yes,” as Fanatics, owner of Topps trading cards, has introduced in its new commercial featuring the man considered by many to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. The video was unveiled on Tuesday, December 12, as a nod to number 12 and promotes the arrival of a new product, the Bowman Draft 2023 series, which notably includes Brady's first baseball card in the “Amours” uniform.

The ad imagines Brady achieving the same success in the major leagues – in Montreal – as he did in the NFL. His 649 touchdown passes became 649 home runs and his seven Super Bowl victories became World Series victories.
Tons of stars
Expos alumni Pedro Martinez, Vladimir Guerrero and Larry Walker are also featured. So, at a bar in Montreal called Brady Brasserie, they discuss the famous athlete's exploits.
“That guy never let us lose,” Walker sighs as Martinez corrects him.
“Except against the Giants,” he said of the San Francisco Giants.
“Twice!” adds Guerrero, in a hilarious reference to the fact that Brady and the Patriots missed the Super Bowl twice against the New York Giants.
In addition, a certain Eli Manning decided to play the game. The quarterback, who beat Brady twice in the final game of a season, posted a video of himself wearing the San Francisco Giants jersey.
“Hey, Tom, it seems like it's 'Brady Day' and everyone's sharing the best moments of their careers,” he said. I would like to add my two cents. What a career you've had: 23 years, seven World Series championships and multiple MVP awards. You are a Montreal legend. Personally, the Giants championships are my favorite moments. You have a special place in our hearts in San Francisco.”
Several winks'Eye
At his brasserie, several press clippings cover Brady's imaginary career with the Expos, and two people even come there to order “extra Tommy” poutines.
In this parallel universe, Brady, now a car dealer, mentions in a commercial: “I caught several Expos fastballs. Here’s my suggestion to you: come to Brady Auto and get some Major League discounts!”
We even hear in the background that the Expos would have moved from Montreal without him. This elaborate production is almost believable…until Brady, like many Expos fans, wakes up and realizes what his life in Montreal could have been like.
Tickets on offer
In real life, Brady was drafted in the 18th round of the 1995 draft by the Montreal organization. However, the receiver decided to decline the Expos' invitation and continue his athletic journey in football. The quarterback moved to the University of Michigan Wolverines and the rest is history.
In addition, Brady's baseball cards have already been put up for sale by fans on the eBay platform. They sell for around $1,000…
