This Thursday (14) the group Forró de Dama is part of the cultural program at the Sesc in Mogi das Cruzes. Residents of the region can see the tribute to the eternal Luiz Gonzaga, whose birthday is December 13th, a date also celebrated as Forró Day.
The band will play hits from the 40s and 50s together with guest musician Anná. The show takes place at 8pm at Tenda da Unity and tickets are available. Those who have a full Sesc ID card pay R$10, while the full ID card costs R$30. Tickets are still available for purchase.
Another free attraction this Thursday is the pike flag.
Pique Bandeira With Sesc educators
The traditional game Pique Bandeira is part of Brazil's children's cultural heritage, but as its practice is decreasing in cities over the years, the unit decided to revive the desire to play this game.
The pike flag game consists of a large space, which can be a square, a playing field or even a backyard, divided into two fields. Within each field we delimit an area called the base. This base is very important as it protects the flag. The aim of the game is to leave your own defensive field, steal the opponent's flag and bring it to your own field.

Forró De Dama invites Anná 110 years of King of Baião
In this show in honor of Luiz Gonzaga's 110th birthday, the artists of Forró de Dama bring to the stage the treasures from the songbook of the King of Baião. A show that brings back emotional memories and invites everyone to sing, dance and drag their flipflops through the Hall of Unity. Big hits like “O Xote das Meninas”, “Asa Branca” and “Pagode Russo” will be performed.
