Suspended opposition MPs protested in front of the Gandhi statue in Parliament. A total of 14 MPs – 13 from Lok Sabha and 1 from Rajya Sabha – were suspended for the remainder of the winter session on December 14. The suspended MPs said they were simply seeking a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue of Parliament's security breaches. Congresswoman Sonia Gandhi also joined the protesting MPs in Parliament to support them.
