A 35-year-old woman was found dead at the foot of a luxury high-rise on Manhattan's swanky Upper East Side on Thursday evening.

Her injuries were “due to a fall,” reports the New York Post.

The woman's body was found just before 7 p.m. outside The Brittany, a building steps from Mayor Eric Adams' residence at Gracie Mansion.

Police described her injuries as evidence of her falling from an “elevated surface.” has asked the NYPD for more information about the tragedy.

Initial reports described the woman as “clinging to life” after she was found. She died shortly after being admitted to nearby New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Hospital.
