The singer Luciane Domwhat revealed were victims of racism at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro spoke out after Infraero released a statement saying that surveillance cameras did not record the search of their hair.
She once again caused a stir about harassment and violence via Instagram Stories. “I know what I heard about the scam today. It all happened very quickly and subtly. Everyday racism cannot be seen on surveillance cameras. I ask that the harassment and the effects of this violence stop. Let’s move on,” he wrote.
Infraero released a statement saying: “Singer Luciane Dom was randomly chosen for manual inspection. “After an internal investigation, images from surveillance cameras confirmed that there was no hair inspection,” the authority said.
According to the company, images from the airport's security cameras cannot be shared. “According to the Additional Instruction IS 107.001J of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), recordings made by these security cameras may only be passed on to the federal police upon request by representatives of the agency.”
The authority also emphasized that “random security screening is carried out regardless of the passenger’s origin, race, gender, age, occupation, position, sexual orientation, religious orientation or other characteristics.”

“I’m currently in the middle of promoting a song of mine that’s coming out tomorrow. I enjoyed myself, looking at memes and reading light things that I like. Then I arrive at Santos Dumont airport and am met by a 'random magazine', minutes before boarding for São Paulo,” he reported.
According to the singer, she had already searched the body scanner and the suitcase she was carrying when she was approached by the employee. “The woman says to me: 'I have to look at your hair'. I look at her in fear of the violence of this act. She calls the supervisor. “My day is over,” he writes.
In a note posted on social media, Infraero explained that Luciane “randomly chosen for a manual inspection,” but denied that the singer’s hair was searched.
