LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Police said they “broke up” an album rave featuring Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign outside Las Vegas late Thursday night.
The two rappers announced a rave event for their album “Vultures” at a facility in the Sloan area, south of the Las Vegas Valley.
The doors were scheduled to open at 11 p.m. and the rave started at midnight. Both entry and livestream viewing were advertised at a price of $2,000.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they received information about the event, but the organizer was not licensed.
According to LVMPD, Clark County investigators cited the event organizer and the event was “disbanded.”
It's unclear whether anyone who paid admission can get a refund.
In a statement, Clark County said business licensing agents served the main event organizer with a violation notice for conducting business without a license and holding an event without a permit.
“The investigation is ongoing as there may be additional violations and other companies are involved,” the district said.
