As promised when he released his first album Lord of the flies, birds and beesOntario rocker TALK released his cover of a traditional music classic from here on the listening platforms on Friday, La Ziguezonand launched a lively call to discover Quebec culture.

For TALK, who sang “La Bottine Souriante” during his performance at the Plains of Abraham summer festival, it's a way to thank Quebecers for their welcome.
“Quebec has given me so much love over the last two years that I have become very special,” Nicholas Durocher, also known as TALK, said in a press release.
“Nothing seemed more natural to me than to release my own version of one of the French-language songs dear to the culture. I want to say to Quebecers: I love you.”
“I hope,” he continues, “that anyone who hears this song for the first time, whether English or French speaking, will enjoy it as much as I did.” There is so much culture to explore in Quebec. I hope this song is your gateway to everything else.”
TALK rose to prominence with the hit “Run Away to Mars,” which has been listened to 115 million times on Spotify, but it was its summer festival performances supporting Luke Combs in 2022 and Imagine Dragons in 2023 that made it a new favorite the Quebecer.
“I started my career in Quebec. This is where I have the most admirers,” he told the Journal last October.
TALK also opened for Shania Twain shows in Toronto, Quebec and Montreal this fall.
