George, the 'Budding James Bond': French media raves about a stylish black and white Christmas card photo of the young prince, calling him 'confident' and a 'gentleman's apprentice'

French media is raving about Prince George's charm and good looks after he appeared in the Welsh family's 2023 Christmas card photo.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's eldest son, 10, appeared in a black-and-white family portrait on the front of their Christmas card this year earlier this week.

After attracting the attention of royal fans around the world, the young prince has now caught the attention of Le Figaro Madame columnist Chloe Friedmann, who described him as a “budding James Bond”.

She added that he seemed “confident” and no longer seemed like a “naughty schoolboy” but more like a “Mr Apprentice”.

The picture, shared on the family's Instagram account, shows William and Kate smiling alongside Prince George, Prince Louis, five, and Princess Charlotte, eight, who sits in a chair at the front of the group.

Royal fans are amazed by Prince George's resemblance to his father in new snapshots

After attracting the attention of royal fans around the world, the young prince has now also caught the attention of Le Figaro Madame columnist Chloe Friedmann, who described him as a “budding James Bond”.

In the article, Friedmann described how George was no longer a “diligent little boy, sometimes a rascal,” but had now become “a serious teenager, almost as tall as his mother on the royal map.”

She continued: “The budding James Bond has chosen a relaxed attitude.” He appears with his hand in his pocket, an open Ralph Lauren shirt and immaculately coiffed hair.

“He also seems very self-confident and has mastered the art of sideways glances wonderfully.” The older Wales son has certainly just crossed a threshold.”

Friedmann also pointed out George's resemblance to his father William: “When we look at him like that, we say to ourselves that the little prince is definitely modeled on his father and quickly conquers the masses.”

Such a comment was echoed earlier this week by Royals fans, who were quick to point out that the young Royal bears a striking resemblance to his father, who is the same age.

William, Kate and their children were photographed in Windsor earlier this year by renowned photographer Josh Shinner.

While this year's card is less formal than the one issued by the king, it shows more restraint than some of her previously issued Christmas greetings.

William and Kate's first card as Prince and Princess of Wales was a relaxed affair – it showed the couple with George, Charlotte and Louis, all in trainers, strolling around the Sandringham Estate, Norfolk.

It was shot by one of her favorite and most trusted photographers, Matt Porteous – and featured a relaxed Kate in jeans, an eyelet shirt and Superga pumps.

William and George wore Ralph Lauren shirts and polo shirts, and while the Prince of Wales opted for jeans, both George and Louis wore chino shorts. Charlotte wore a denim playsuit with embossed strawberry embellishments.

Previous cards issued during their tenure as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were similarly relaxed and often colorful affairs, such as their 2018 card, which showed them sitting on a log at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

It also continues the tradition of relaxed celebratory greetings from the Prince of Wales – the cards issued by Charles and Diana were similarly informal affairs.

With its subtle background, this year's card bears a striking resemblance to the card issued by Charles and Diana in 1984 – complete with a cheeky Prince William and a baby Prince Harry, who was born in September that year.
