Two bad news for the Bruins

The Boston Bruins will have to deal with the loss of two very important players in the coming games.

In fact, the club announced in a press release on Thursday that defender Charlie McAvoy and forward Pavel Zacha had been placed on the injured list. Therefore, the team recalled forward Patrick Brown and back man Parker Wotherspoon from the Providence Bruins of the American League.

McAvoy, who had three goals and 14 assists for 17 points in 21 games this season, suffered an upper-body injury on Dec. 7 against the Buffalo Sabres. Zacha also suffered an upper-body injury Saturday against the Arizona Coyotes.

The latter was on track for the best season of his career, recording eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 26 games in 2023-2024.

The Bruins face the New York Islanders on Friday.
