Celebrity Gogglebox fans were left unimpressed on Friday as Channel 4 aired a repeat episode of the popular TV show.
Channel 4's Gogglebox series returned from 9pm on Friday evening, with Mo Gilligan, Roman Kemp and Tom Allen taking part in the hour-long episode.
However, it seems that fans were expecting an entirely new episode and were disappointed when they saw a montage of the best parts of the series that aired earlier this year.
Channel 4 described the episode as: “A collection of the best bits as the celebs sit on the sofa for top TV, including Five Star Kitchen: Britain's Next Great Chef, The 1% Club, Hijack, Antiques Roadshow and The Yorkshire Vet. “
Fans expressed their desire for a brand new episode and took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

One wrote: “Um what part of the new celebrity glasses is new if you repeat it clearly.”
A second wrote: “#gogglebox it's not for me anymore, it's had its time, it's just boring like watching a rerun over and over again.”

“It's nowhere near as entertaining as the regular #Gogglebox. “If anything, I'm bored watching this celebrity version.”
While fans appeared confused by the repeat episode, the broadcaster had promised no new content, tweeting: “Join us tonight for a #CelebrityGogglebox special featuring the best bits of the year.”
Another added: “Everything new? Just a compilation of this year's #celebritygogglebox clips.
