Injuries and the transfer portal are taking the shine off this year's Myrtle Beach Bowl.

Ohio faces Georgia Southern on Saturday, with the former looking like a much different team than it did in the regular season.

The Bobcats will be without several key offensive players.

Quarterback Kurtis Rourke, wide receivers Miles Cross and Aramoni Rhone and running back Sieh Bangura have all entered the transfer portal and will miss Saturday's game.

Wide receiver Jacoby Jones, who missed the start of this season with an injury, also won't be on the field.

Ohio vs Georgia Southern prediction

(11 a.m. ET.)

While the Eagles haven't been hit by the transfer portal nearly as hard as the Bobcats, they could still be without a key offensive player: lead running back Jalen White, who missed the final game of the regular season due to injury.

Ohio, a 3.5-point underdog, will have to rely on its strong defense to pull out the win.

The Bobcats allowed the sixth-fewest points per game (15.9) in the FBS and more than 20 in just two contests.

Georgia Southern relied on a strong offense to earn six wins this season, but struggled mightily when going up against a good defense.

In road losses to Wisconsin and James Madison, both top-20 defenses in points allowed per game, the Eagles scored just 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Betting on college football?

While Ohio will have trouble moving the ball, it won't be easy for Georgia Southern either.

The over/under is a fairly typical 48.5 points as of this writing, but I expect an offensive battle.

Attend the Under on Saturday in Myrtle Beach.
