American destroyer shoots down 14 drones launched from Yemen in Red Sea Correio do Povo

An American destroyer shot down 14 drones from Houthicontrolled regions of Yemen in the Red Sea this Saturday (16), reported the US military command in the Middle East (Centcom). They were “identified as attack drones and shot down without causing any damage to ships in the region and without any injuries being reported,” Centcom said on its account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

The operation, led by the destroyer USS Carney, was carried out “in the early hours of Saturday morning,” the US Army said.
