Offset criticized internet users for referencing the death of Takeoff, his cousin and former Migos member, during his breakup with Cardi B.
Offset, 32, spoke out on Saturday with two posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, where his split from Cardi B, 31, is a hot topic. He specifically criticized users for mentioning Takeoff, who was fatally shot in Houston in November 2022.
Offset, Takeoff and Quavo – who are all related – performed in a rap group called Migos. The Grammy-nominated trio released popular songs like “Bad and Boujee” in 2016 and “Motorsport” in 2018.

“Fans who want death at launch are crazy little ass, better chill,” Offset wrote in a post.

He added in a second post: “Correction: Fans using Takeoff’s name in all of this is not cool. I still mourn my brother and would like his name not to be mentioned.”

Offset's posts come a day after Cardi B slammed him on Instagram Live. The former couple, who have two children together, Kulture, 5, and Wave, 2, met in 2017 and married that same year.

Cardi B announced that she and Offset broke up on December 11 during a previous Instagram Live.
“I've been single for a minute now, but I was afraid to like… Don't be afraid, I just don't know how to tell the world,” she said, adding that she's looking forward to new opportunities.
“So I want to start 2024 fresh and open. I don't know it. I'm curious about a new life or a new beginning and, yes, I'm excited,” she said.
