BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) – Terminal 1 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will be evacuated Sunday at 6:42 p.m. The airport speaks of a “developing security incident.”
The Broward Sheriff's Office is on scene. It's unclear to us what happened, whether anyone was injured, or whether this is one of many unattended bags that are causing problems for both travelers and the person who left the bag unattended.
Terminal 1 serves Southwest and United as well as several low-cost airlines.
The authorities tell us that this is the upper level of Terminal 1 – this is where check-in, gates and security are located. Check back for updates. While you're there, please share your tips and photos with BocaNewsNow.com on our 24-hour tip line. Call or text 561-866-NEWS. 561-866-6397.
