This Monday, December 18, the South American Football Confederation, through its Competition and Operations Directorate, published the latest edition of the Conmebol 2024 club rankings which makes up its 10 confederations. Following the conclusion of the 2023 South American season as well as the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, Conmebol presented a new roster.
For this ranking, the South American company takes into account the clubs' historical participation in the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana 2024, as well as the performances of the last editions.
This squad will be used to form the Bolilleros for the draw of Phases 1 and 2 of the Libertadores and then for the group stage of not only this tournament but also the Copa Sudamericana.

The new list shows that Sporting Cristal is the highest ranked Peruvian team. Then come Universitario, Melgar de Arequipa, Alianza Lima and Cusco.
