Eagles score at Seahawks: Drew Lock and Seattle surprise Philadelphia with 92-yard TD drive in final minutes – CBS Sports

The Seattle Seahawks kept their playoff hopes alive thanks to a 20-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

Trailing 17-13 after the two-minute warning, Drew Lock orchestrated a game-winning, 10-play, 92-yard drive capped by a 29-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Before the score, Lock was able to make another chunk play to fellow receiver DK Metcalf, who turned it over for a 34-yard gain with just under a minute to play. The Eagles regained possession with just under 30 seconds left, but Seattle defender Julian Love was able to take down Jalen Hurts for the second time of the night, snuffing out a potential game-winning drive for Philadelphia.

This win moves the Seahawks – who entered this game as the No. 9 seed in the NFC – to 7-7 on the season and into 8th place – just outside the playoffs. As for Philadelphia, this loss puts them at 10-4 on the season. It currently sits in second place in the NFC East and fifth in the conference.

Lock was 22 of 33 passing for 208 yards and the game-winning touchdown. It was his first win as an NFL starter since December 13, 2020.

Metcalf — who really came to life on the final drive — caught five of his six targets for 78 yards, a team-high. Smith-Njigba caught all four of his targets for 48 yards and was the game-winner. Meanwhile, Hurts completed 17 of 31 through the air for 143 yards and two interceptions. He rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

From here, the Eagles return to Philadelphia, where they host the New York Giants on Christmas Day. As for the Seahawks, they will be in Nashville on Christmas Eve to take on the Tennessee Titans.
