Jets: A terrible performance that could change Aaron Rodgers' mind

After an encouraging game last week, the New York Jets immediately came back down to earth when they met the mighty Dolphins in Miami on Sunday under the desperate gaze of Aaron Rodgers.

The veteran quarterback has expressed a desire to return to action by the end of the season, but may change his mind after the offensive line posted its worst performance of the season in a 30-0 loss. Center Zach Wilson was manhandled by the home team for a lack of protection.

Last week's American Association offensive lineman was replaced by Trevor Siemian just before halftime. He was the victim of four sacks and completed just four of his 11 passes. He even stunned in his first appearance, his fumble leading to a Dolphins touchdown.

Frustration evidently took hold of the Jets, and on the sideline, Rodgers showed several signs of annoyance and discouragement. At the end of the third quarter, receiver Garrett Wilson clearly had a message to send.

In the more pleasant news department, i.e. the Dolphins, Raheem Mostert animated the attack. The running back scored two touchdowns, his 19th and 20th of the year, setting a franchise record.

Tua Tagovailoa didn't falter behind center, completing 21 of his 24 aerial throws for a gain of 224 yards. Miami (10-4) returned to winning ways after its surprising loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Taylor Swift inspires the Chiefs

On the New England side, Taylor Swift was on hand to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, and they consoled themselves with a 27-17 win over the Patriots.

The recent matchup against the Buffalo Bills was quite frustrating for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was fined by the NFL for his post-game comments. The two-time Super Bowl winner recovered well, even if not everything was perfect.

The Pivot threw two touchdown passes, including an excellent one to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who made a sliding pass. Rashee Rice also crossed the end zone with a beautiful trick play involving Jerick McKinnon.

The Patriots (3-11) struggled, but their losses continued at home. The Chiefs (9:5) handed the residents of Gillette Stadium their seventh defeat in eight home duels.

Kelce was more discreet in front of his famous friend, catching five relays for 28 yards.
