Why is the Google Pixel 8 a good deal?
The Google Pixel 8 is cuter than the Pixel 7 and features more rounded edges and a smaller screen size for better grip. With its good resolution, its brightness and its 120 Hz refresh rate, its screen is very good. Solid primers, although we regret the lack of LTPO, as well as good colorimetric coverage.
On the animation side, the Tensor G3 chip is at work, which does not allow some demanding games to start under good conditions and tends to heat up, but is sufficient for all other daily applications. We particularly appreciate the Pixel Experience with Android 14. It even has seven years of major and security updates. Ultimately it lasts a day and a half of use, but charging is quite slow: an hour and a half to go from 10 to 100%.
