Quarterback Jalen Hurts was originally expected to miss the game due to health reasons, despite being at his position. He had a good game with two rushing touchdowns, but Drew Lock overshadowed his performance in the fourth quarter.
The Seahawks were down 17-13 and needed a rebound. The pivot joined Jaxon Smith-Njigba with a long 29-yard strike to make the difference. It is actually the only time that the local heroes are in the lead.
Hurts will have nightmares thinking about Julian Love, who intercepted his handoffs twice in crucial moments. The safety prevented the Eagles (10-4) from scoring again midway through the fourth quarter by intercepting the opposing quarterback's bomb in the pay zone. With 11 seconds left, Love did it again, diving to confirm his team's win.
After four consecutive losses, the Seahawks (7-7) slowed their descent into hell and reached the level of the Los Angeles Rams (7-7) in third place in the West Section of the National Association.
