Tiffany Haddish is pleading NOT guilty in her DUI case … three weeks after she was found asleep behind the wheel in the middle of an LA road

Comedian Tiffany Haddish pleaded not guilty in her DUI case in Los Angeles after she was arrested last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.

During her arraignment on Wednesday, the 44-year-old actress pleaded not guilty to two counts filed by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office for “driving under the influence and driving with a BAC of 0.08%.” according to TMZ.

Last week she was charged with her second drunken driving in less than two years, three weeks after she was found asleep behind the wheel of her car in Beverly Hills.

Emergency crews reportedly discovered Haddish asleep behind the wheel of her running car in the middle of busy Beverly Drive on November 24th.

has reached out to Haddish's representatives for comment.

This is the star's second drunk driving arrest, having been found sleeping in her car in Georgia in January 2022.

This comes after it was reported that Haddish will reportedly have to stop drinking and undergo random drug testing after being arrested for her second time driving under the influence.

Documents obtained by RadarOnline.com state that the star was allegedly ordered by a Georgia judge earlier this month to abstain from alcohol and use of illegal drugs.

According to the release, the “decision came after prosecutors asked the court to change Haddish's bail conditions” following her recent arrest in Beverly Hills, California, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

In their motion, prosecutors told the court that “Haddish was arrested on November 24, 2023.”

Police found the actress asleep behind the wheel of her car, which was parked in the middle of busy Beverly Drive while it was still moving.

According to TMZ, Haddish was reportedly “lying over the steering wheel while the car was moving.”

Following her latest run-in with the law, prosecutors are said to have “requested that Haddish's bond be amended to include a provision stating that Haddish cannot drink and must submit to a drug test.”

During the hearing, the judge reportedly “granted the motion” and “ordered Haddish not to drink or take drugs, including Hem products such as CBD.”

However, the order allows her to take prescription medications “within the therapeutic limit.”

Additionally, the website claims that she will “undergo a drug testing panel that will detect use of common illicit drugs and will include testing for ETG and ETS, alcohol metabolites.”

After her arrest in November, hours after her comedy show at Long Beach's Laugh Factory on Thanksgiving, she vowed to “get help.”

While discussing how she plans to move forward after the incident, the star told Entertainment Tonight, “It will never happen again.”

“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she promised.

The “Girls Trip” star revealed that she remained “in good spirits” after the incident and, according to the outlet, “praised the Beverly Hills Police Department for their professionalism and handling of the situation.”

Her statement came after sources close to the star told that Haddish was full of “regret” and wanted to reject any suggestion that she had a drinking problem.

Haddish, who is relieved that no one was hurt as a result of her “mistake,” is reportedly aware of the impact the incident has had on her.

“Tiffany is sorry to be in the headlines for her arrest, but is thankful no one was hurt,” an insider told exclusively. “She will tackle everything head-on and find the right lawyers.”

“She doesn't want this to define her or for people to think she needs help.” She made a mistake, and it's not because she has a drinking problem. It was just a bad thing that she got herself into and she's working on moving on from it.”

According to TMZ, Beverly Hills police officers received a call at 5:45 a.m. about a person “slumped over the steering wheel while the car was running.”

In a video obtained by the magazine, the actress and comedian can be seen with her hands tied behind her back as she is escorted to a patrol car. The arrest was “peaceful” and without resistance, it said.

It came hours after she performed a stand-up routine at The Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for the club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.

The Laugh Factory is about a 15-minute drive from Beverly Hills.

She admitted the incident 24 hours later during another set at the Laugh Factory.

When an audience member asked “what happened,” she joked, “I prayed to God to send me a man with a job.” A career. Best in uniform. God has answered my prayers.'

In January 2022, she was arrested for drunk driving under similar circumstances in Peachtree City, Georgia – and made a similar joke when discussing the incident with Jimmy Fallon.

According to TMZ, the “Night School” actress was found “dozing in the driver's seat” of her car at the time.

Officers told police they believed she had smoked marijuana.

Shortly afterwards, her mugshot was released, showing the star smiling and without make-up.

Days later, she spoke about the arrest during an appearance on The Tonight Show, telling host Fallon: “I can say this, Jimmy… I prayed to God to send me a new man. “A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four. In uniform.'

She continued, “And now I have a really great lawyer and we're going to work this out. 'I need to do a little better with my asking of God for things!'

Haddish had split from rapper and actor Common three months earlier.
