Zezé Di Camargo is sentenced after failing to pay his water bills for ten years

Zezé Di Camargo is facing legal problems over an unpaid water debt on a property in Goiânia. The Companhia Saneamento de Goiás (Saneago) filed a lawsuit that led to the conviction of the singer by the 7th Civil Court of Goiás, which ordered the confiscation of the amounts in the artist's accounts. The debts incurred between 1994 and 2004 total more than R$17,400. Responsibility later passed to Lourenço Construtora, who was convicted of debts from 2004 to 2008.

Zezé's advisor told Quem that he did not own any property in Goiânia, suggesting that the accounts may refer to an old property that was still in his name. The singer's team does not have any precise information about the attachment.

The legal team's note claims that the notification did not reach Zezé directly, which affected prior knowledge of the process, and emphasizes that the legality of the blockade will be assessed by the Court of Justice of Goiás.

According to Revista Fórum, the debt belongs to a previous owner of the property and the selling company has repaid its share. Zezé is trying to have the judgment overturned and, if successful, the former owner will take over the outstanding bills. Saneago, named in the lawsuit, declined to comment, citing compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
