He began speaking into a microphone before slipping a ring on her finger, and some in the community are clearly alarmed to hear him ask the question.
The video captions read: “Propose [to] the daughter of the deceased directly at the funeral. Wiping away the tears here and there’.
The man reportedly thanks God for being around such a difficult time in his girlfriend’s life for her.
He also reportedly claims that his role in her life will comfort her heart as she comes to terms with her father’s death.

Social media users were stunned by the suggestion, with some calling it “disrespectful” to propose to someone who is “in such deep pain” and accusing the man of “playing on their feelings”.
“Aowa, this is WRONG.
Another said: “Never, don’t take advantage of my emotions when I’m down and not thinking straight.”
“I feel like he should have waited for the funeral to be over… what joy does one have when one is in so much pain,” wrote a third.
