Josie Gibson jokes she “turns into an animal” when she drinks white wine while enjoying a boozy segment on This Morning

She was the presenter of the ITV show during the Countdown to Christmas.

And Josie Gibson was quick to joke that white wine “turns her into an animal” as she enjoyed a boozy segment on This Morning on Thursday.

The 38-year-old presenter treated himself to a glass or two during a celebratory tasting with co-host Craig Doyle.

Admitting she wouldn't drink too much of the drink, Josie joked: “I tend to stay away from white wine because it turns me into an animal.”

An eager Craig put down her glass and said, “No, no, no,” before pouring more wine and adding, “A little tip.”

It came after Craig left viewers in hysterics as he stormed the This Morning set and complained about the looming traffic he will face on the way home for Christmas.

The 53-year-old presenter jokingly ran out of the studio after asking viewers to “get off the M4 around 12.30pm today” as he planned to travel home for the holidays.

This came after Craig was angered by chef Becky Excell for failing to put on a Christmas jumper for his appearance on the show. The star joked he “looks like a tree.”

Craig began by lamenting the festive traffic, while Alice gave her tips for last minute Christmas shopping, saying: “If everyone could please get off the M4 around 12.30 today.”

Alice then warned him that 12.30pm was the “worst time to travel”, prompting Craig to frantically run off set.

Josie Gibson struggled to contain her laughter and shouted, “Come back here! You're not done yet!” and Craig eventually returned to the set.

Earlier in the show, chef Becky also poked fun at Craig's choice of jumper for the show, as she and Josie opted for glamorous festive ensembles.

She turned to Craig and said: “You didn't get the memo.” The shocked presenter remarked: “I look like a tree.”

Becky joked that Craig looked like “a tree with no decorations” while Josie noted that her co-host was now “roasted”.

Celiac UK Ambassador Becky appeared on This Morning to demonstrate to viewers how to make a gluten-free Christmas dinner.

At the start of her daily news segment, Craig said: “Vanessa, you've made some headlines around celiac disease this week.”

“We just want to say we're going to look more into living with the disease on the show.” Tomorrow, for example, the brilliant Becky Excell is coming over to cook a gluten-free Christmas dinner.

“And in the new year we'll be delving deeper into living with celiac disease and similar illnesses every day, that's all that's to come, but for now let's get on with the news.”

In response to the announcement, Becky tweeted: “So…it's happening.” @thismorning contacted me and asked if I would come on the show and I said…YES.

“Tomorrow morning I will have the opportunity to show that gluten-free Christmas dinner is easy to prepare and delicious and that it is neither difficult nor a problem for us gluten-free people.”

“What are some of the things I’d most like to mention? (If I get the chance…it's live TV but I can only do my best)

“On behalf of the entire celiac disease and gluten-free community, I’m truly grateful for this opportunity.” I really hope you’ll tune in and support me. I'm pretty nervous! Thank you to everyone who asked for me to be on the show – it means a lot to me!'
