A few days before Christmas, director René Richard Cyr gave moviegoers a gift by revealing the first images of his musical film Our sisters-in-law which will be released on July 11th.
In an excerpt lasting around thirty seconds, we see the legendary character Germaine Lauzon – played by Geneviève Schmidt – joyfully announcing to the other sisters-in-law that she has won a million stamps. But his joy and pleasure will eventually make people jealous…
Inspired by the famous play by Michel Tremblay, Nos Belles-Sœurs brings together an all-star cast including Geneviève Schmidt, Guylaine Tremblay, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Debbie Lynch-White, Véronic DiCaire, Valérie Blais, Diane Lavallée, Isabelle Blais and Ariane Moffatt, in her first film role.
Daniel Bélanger signs the music for the film, produced by Denise Robert of Cinémaginaire (Testament, De père en flic) and distributed by TVA Films.
Nos Belles-Soeurs will be shown on July 11th.
